This new three-story 225,000 square foot high school incorporates premium design features, is extremely energy-efficient, and was completed under budget at a very attractive cost. It has a performance theater seating 550 and a gym seating 3400. The mechanical system is a combination of VAV systems and constant volume systems, with both types of air handling units having energy recovery features. A 350-ton centrifugal chiller with a remotely located cooling tower cools the entire complex. Hot water heating is delivered to classrooms via an innovative single-pipe system. All lighting is energy-efficient, and data/communication wiring extends to all classrooms and labs. A full-featured football/track stadium is included.
